It's been nearly a week since our first event - can you believe it?! We want to say thank you to everyone for coming last Saturday and for making it such a wonderful day - great people, great handmade things, great workshops, great cakes, great tea, great weather, and a great setting. We were so pleased to see people trying things on, asking how things were made, getting stuck in with the workshops, wearing beards, relaxing with their children - it was a totally chilled day so...

Dorset Cereals!
We've just made friends with the rather amazing Dorset Cereals. A seriously great Bristish brand, they have helped us out with some prizes for our coconut shy and we have also been nominated for their Little Blog Awards - please vote for us!

Jenny Curtis' Sponge U Like...
My (Sally) sister's new company 'Sponge U Like' (brilliant name) will be making its debut at the first Tea & Make. Known for the most amazing Victoria sponges and cupcakes, she's always in great demand from family and friends, and will be putting on a fine spread of cakes to eat with a cup of 'Make Us a Brew' tea. Esther has just finished designing her shiny new logo (thanks Esther!):

Sponsorship from our local!
Our lovely local has agreed to sponsor the Tea & Make event next weekend, by paying for the hire of our coconut shy - how nice!
If you need lunch or fancy a drink while you're visiting us next Saturday, The Honor Oak is only a very short walk away, and comes highly recommended by Sally and I :)

Selvedge at Tea & Make
Wow! We are extremely proud to announce that Selvedge, the most beautiful creative textile publication ever (offering "the world’s finest textile photography, unparalleled design and peerless writing") will be with us at the first Tea & Make. Despite their hectic schedule having just opened a gorgeous shop in Archway, N. London (see below), they'll be setting up their Selvedge Market stall selling beautiful textiles sold at their shop, as well as back issues of their gorgeous magazine and getting people to subscribe - amaaaaazing.

Cornelia O'Donovan - hoorah!
We keep saying it about everyone we confirm for Tea & Make, and Cornelia O'Donovan is no exception - we can't wait to have her there. She's bloomin brilliant at illustrating, making sweet stylized toys, playfully painted ceramics - everything she creates will make you smile and THAT is original art worth investing in...

Having enjoyed her "Castle Mountain" print for so long in our flat, Esther and I are seriously pleased to announce that Hannah Waldron (www.hannahwaldron.co.uk) will be at the first Tea & Make with her fine array of enchantingly-illustrated handmade books, limited edition prints, printed stationery (very excited to see this new collection), and finger puppet badges!
